FTP or File Transfer Protocol is a system for saving and downloading files to and from a remote location.

How do I use FTP on windows XP?

If you are using a Windows XP operating system, there is a built in FTP System. To use FTP in windows XP, click on the "My computer" icon which will be on your desktop or alternatively will be listed in the start menu, My Computer

when the "My Computer" window opens click in the address bar (initially displays "My Computer") and type or copy and paste the address of your Mediafour FTP site.

When you have filled in your FTP address, press enter you should be prompted for your username and password, these are the same details you used to get into this web site.

After a few moments a window should be displayed showing the contents of your FTP directory, files can then be dragged and dropped or copy and pasted to and from this window.

How do I use FTP on a Mac?

To use FTP on a Mac you will need an FTP application, if you dont have such an application it is possible to download one from the internet. You can then access your FTP directory using the details described in the Windows XP section.
